Elks Take Over The Small Town of Clemmons, NC!

As a North Carolina resident, sometimes you are looking for a relaxing, close‑to‑home escape. Clemmons offers the perfect blend of small‑town comfort and easy access to some of the Piedmont’s best attractions. Just outside Winston‑Salem, this welcoming village gives you room to slow down while still offering plenty to see, taste, and explore. Clemmons has that familiar NC charm—tree‑lined streets, friendly locals, and a laid‑back pace—but it also surprises visitors with its variety of activities. Whether you’re coming from the mountains, the Triangle, or the coast, it’s an easy drive that feels like a refreshing change of scenery without the hassle of a long trip.
Tanglewood Park
A true highlight of the area, Tanglewood Park is a year‑round destination for outdoor fun.
  • Miles of walking, biking, and horseback‑riding trails
  • Two golf courses, including a championship course
  • Fishing lakes and picnic areas
  • Seasonal events like the famous Festival of Lights
It’s the kind of place where you can spend an entire day and still feel like there’s more to discover.
Local Dining & Craft Drinks
Clemmons has a growing food scene with everything from cozy breakfast spots to locally owned restaurants serving Southern comfort favorites. You’ll also find nearby breweries and taprooms where you can unwind after a day of exploring.
Yadkin Valley Wine Country
If you enjoy wine, Clemmons is an ideal home base for exploring the Yadkin Valley, one of North Carolina’s premier wine regions. Dozens of vineyards are within a short drive, offering tastings, tours, and beautiful views of rolling hills.
Easy Access to Winston‑Salem
Want a mix of small‑town calm and city energy? Clemmons is minutes from Winston‑Salem’s museums, historic districts, arts scene, and restaurants—perfect for adding a little extra adventure to your trip.

The Spring Conference is a great time to unwind, share stories, and learn new information about how to build your lodge one community activity at a time. Our afternoon workshops will focus on managing the lodge, and how leadership helps make the lodges a success.  The hospitality rooms open at 4pm to offer a brief snack before heading out into Clemmons for something to feed your palette.
